Frequently asked questions

What does MintLink charge for events?

A 5% platform fee plus standard payment gateway charges on each paid ticket — a 5% platform fee, a 2% payment gateway fee, and 18% GST on each of those, 8.26% all in — so you keep 91.74% of every sale. Free tickets carry no fee at all. There are no setup fees or subscriptions.

What happens if someone cancels their ticket?

You set your own cancellation policy — refund tiers based on how far out the cancellation happens, down to non-refundable if you choose. MintLink keeps a processing floor equal to the total deduction on the sale, because payment gateway charges are not returned when a payment is refunded. That floor is 8.26%, so refunds up to 91.74% cost you nothing and anything above that you cover.

Can I run a free event?

Yes — set a tier's price to ₹0 and attendees still go through the full registration form and get a QR ticket, just without a payment step.

What if a tier sells out?

Capacity is enforced automatically per tier — once a tier is full, it stops accepting new bookings, so you never oversell.

How do attendees receive their tickets?

Every attendee gets a QR ticket by email as soon as they register. You scan and check them in at the door from your MintLink dashboard.
