Zoho Backstage is the one platform here that takes no cut of your ticket sales. You pay for the software instead. That makes this the only comparison on the list with an arithmetic answer rather than an argument.
Two pricing models that cross at a knowable point
Zoho Backstage sells subscriptions — Essentials ₹7,900/month, Premium ₹14,900/month, Ultimate ₹29,900/month — and Per-event plans from ₹840 to ₹2,100 an event, read on 12 September 2026. No ticket commission — you pay for the software; you connect your own payment gateway and pay that gateway directly. MintLink charges 5% of each paid ticket and no subscription.
Comparing them fairly means comparing only the software cost, because a Backstage organiser still pays a gateway just as we do. The platform-fee portion of our deduction is 5% plus 18% GST on it, which is 5.9% of the ticket price.
Where a Zoho Backstage plan becomes cheaper than our 5.9% platform fee
Zoho Backstage plan
Cost
Cheaper than MintLink once you sell more than
Standard, per event
₹840 an event
about ₹14,000 of tickets in that event
Professional, per event
₹2,100 an event
about ₹36,000 of tickets in that event
Essentials, per month
₹7,900 a month
about ₹1.3 lakh of tickets that month
Premium, per month
₹14,900 a month
about ₹2.5 lakh of tickets that month
Ultimate, per month
₹29,900 a month
about ₹5 lakh of tickets that month
The number that decides it is your volume, not your opinion
If you sell ₹40,000 of tickets a month, our percentage costs about ₹2,360 and the cheapest monthly Backstage plan costs ₹7,900. If you sell ₹4,00,000 a month, our percentage costs about ₹23,600 and Essentials still costs ₹7,900. There is no cleverness available here — one model wins below the crossover and the other wins above it.
What a percentage does buy you is that a month with no events costs nothing. A subscription charges the same in January as in your festival month.
Side by side
MintLink Tickets and Zoho Backstage — Backstage figures read on 12 September 2026
You are already inside Zoho. If your CRM, email and meetings are Zoho, Backstage joins them and that integration is worth more than a fee comparison.
Your ticket revenue is large and predictable. Above the crossover, a fixed subscription is simply cheaper, and it stops scaling with your success.
You run conferences with sponsors and speakers. Sponsor tiers, booths, speaker profiles and an agenda are real features there and absent here.
Where MintLink is the better choice
You are not sure how many events you will run. No subscription means a cancelled quarter costs nothing.
You want a checkout, not a gateway integration. UPI, cards and net banking in rupees are already wired, and payouts land in an Indian bank account after a three-day clearing hold.
No. Backstage charges for the software and you connect your own payment gateway, which you pay directly. Read from zoho.com/backstage/pricing on 12 September 2026.
What does Zoho Backstage cost in India?
Monthly plans at ₹7,900 for Essentials, ₹14,900 for Premium and ₹29,900 for Ultimate, plus per-event plans from about ₹840 to ₹2,100 an event. Tiers differ in sessions, speakers and sponsor limits.
At what point is Zoho Backstage cheaper than MintLink?
Comparing software cost only, the ₹7,900 monthly plan beats our 5.9% platform fee once you sell roughly ₹1.3 lakh of tickets in that month. The ₹840 per-event plan beats it once one event sells roughly ₹14,000 of tickets.
Why compare against 5.9% and not 8.26%?
Because 8.26% includes payment gateway charges, and a Backstage organiser pays a gateway too. Counting our gateway against their subscription would compare two different things and flatter us by about two and a half points.
Can MintLink do sponsors and speakers?
No. We handle ticket tiers, sessions, capacity, registration forms and check-in. Conference programme tooling is not something we build.
